UPDATE: Parenting Journey Classes Postponed Until the Summer

Out of an abundance of caution, our Family Support & Stabilization program is postponing our upcoming Parenting Journey classes until this summer. We still plan to schedule the course to accommodate parents’ busy schedules, and all sessions will still be held at our offices at 60 Gore Street in Cambridge. If you would like to receive more information about Parenting Journey classes for this summer, contact Andrea Ruiz at aruiz@helpfamilies.org.

Parenting Journey is a 12-week program that meets once a week for two hours. The program offers an opportunity for parents to develop themselves as nurtured and nurturing people. Parenting Journey emphasizes the parent as a person, rather than focusing exclusively on the child or viewing the child as only in a disciplinary relationship with the parent.

Graduates of the Parenting Journey class will have more confidence in achieving their own personal goals, they’ll increase their understanding about what it means to be a good parent, and they’ll be able to find and utilize community services and support more easily. Our graduates have also reported that they feel more hopeful and optimistic about their future after completing the class.

The Parenting Journey is open to all parents, foster parents and guardians of children who are six years old or younger. A nutritious meal, child care and transportation (if needed) are all provided for free, to make it as convenient as possible for parents to attend.

If you would like to attend the Parenting Journey, please contact Andrea Ruiz at 857-453-4273 or aruiz@helpfamilies.org today to complete an intake form! Those who do not complete the intake form cannot attend the class.
