Celebrating Seven Adoptions This Spring!
We’re celebrating the adoptions of seven children who were adopted this spring! Of these seven children, four were adopted by someone in their biological family, and two were adopted by a family with whom they already had a relationship. We also want to highlight that five of these children have been reunited with their biological siblings through their adoptions. A central tenet of permanency is for youth to remain connected to their siblings and biological families whenever possible.
Congratulations to all these wonderful families!
Owen, age 2, was adopted by his foster mother, Amanda.
Malena, age 3, was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Karmie and Thomas. She was reunited with her two older brothers, 10-year-old Caden and 5-year-old Raymond, whom the couple adopted last fall.
Shane, age 3, was adopted by Kim and Alex. He joins older brother Arthur, who was adopted two years ago.
Jaycie, age 2, was adopted by Erinn and Joel. Jaycie first knew Erinn and Joel as her neighbors, as they lived next door to her foster family before she was placed with them for adoption. Jaycie is gaining four older siblings in her permanent family.
Siblings Jaylani, age 10, and Ezekiel, age 4, were adopted by Ezekiel's great aunt, Sol.
Maxwell, age 2, was adopted by his paternal aunt, Danerys. He has lived with her his entire life. The baby of the family, he is adored by Danerys’s four older children.
We are so happy for all these families! Finding permanency for youth in foster care is always worth celebrating. Are you interested in adopting a youth in foster care? Start your journey with Bridges Homeward today! Click here to learn more.
