Putnam Place’s Latest Outing: In The Treetops Of Massachusetts

This summer, our residents at Putnam Place went to Treetop Adventures, a high ropes and obstacle course in Canton, MA. The boys had a blast learning how to zipline and trying the obstacle courses! It was a great day, giving our residents a chance to practice teamwork and clear communication while having fun.

Randi Souza, Putnam Place’s Program Director, plans regular excursions for our residents just like this one. The opportunities to have fun and try new things are especially meaningful for teens in group homes. Being in foster care can feel isolating and confusing, especially for young adults who aren’t sure what the future holds. Randi understands that providing our residents with enjoyable, enriching experiences is incredibly important, both for their mental wellbeing and their development. We provide workshops on topics from personal finance to personal health, but experiences like these are just as important in preparing youth for a successful transition to adulthood.

Thank you to Randi Souza and the rest of the Putnam Place staff for providing such impactful and awesome opportunities. We’ll keep you posted on their next adventure!
