Jasmine Rookard Promoted to Young Parents Support Program Coordinator
We’re pleased to announce that Jasmine Rookard has been promoted to Young Parents Support Program Coordinator in our Family Support & Stabilization Program! Jasmine joined CFCS as an intern in the FSS program in June of last year, and was hired as a full-time Family Support Specialist earlier this year. In her new role, Jasmine will oversee the Young Parents Support (YPS) program, organizing events and trainings for the young parents we serve and developing the resources and care we provide to them. She will also continue providing weekly case management to her YPS clients as well as support YPS and FSS's events, trainings and program outreach.
Jasmine recently shared with us a bit about herself and what she likes about working at CFCS.
Tell us about yourself!
I graduated from Bridgewater State University with a degree in social work. Then I went onto to grad school at University of Central Florida's online advanced standing program and received my master’s degree in social work. During my master's program I interned at CFCS. I recently became a Licensed Certified Social Worker.
What are you looking forward to in your new position?
I look forward to working with young parents and supporting them through the difficult times they may be experiencing. I want to help each young parent find their own strength and be able to feel empowered within themselves. I also look forward to gaining more experience in a coordinator position.
What do you like most about working at CFCS?
I love working at CFCS because of the family vibe each staff member gives off. I love the support from my coworkers and the opportunity to use the skills I learned in school.
What do you like to do for fun?
I like to read, watch movies, go for walks, and travel when possible.
