Help the 10,000 Children in Massachusetts Who Need a Foster Home. Join Us for MAPP Training Next Year!
Right now in Massachusetts, there are over 10,000 children and teenagers in foster care. That number has increased steadily over recent years and has placed a tremendous burden on our state’s child welfare system. Our Intensive Foster Care social workers work hard to meet the needs of children in foster care. But every day, we receive referrals for children in need of a home who we don’t have the capacity to serve. Simply stated, we do not have enough foster parents to care for all of the children that need them.
You have the power to change this today by deciding to become a foster parent. But don’t worry – you won’t go through this process alone. CFCS will support you every step of the way and every day you foster a child with us.
The first step to becoming a foster parent is to complete a MAPP (Massachusetts Approach to Partnership in Parenting) Training course. To find out how to sign up for CFCS’s upcoming MAPP training courses in 2020, or to find out more about foster parenting, email familyservices@helpfamilies.org or call 857-453-4061 today.
