Heather Hall Promoted to Developmental Disabilities Program Coordinator
We are pleased to announce that Heather Hall, longtime Developmental Disabilities Program (DDP) case manager, has been promoted to Developmental Disabilities Program Coordinator! As the DDP Coordinator, Heather will be responsible for the Intensive Flexible Family Support Services Program, or IFFS Program. Heather will coordinate with the Department of Developmental Services to determine the individuals who will participate in our IFFS program, and will supervise the case managers who are providing them support.
The IFFS program offers services to families of a DDS-eligible child or adult who need intensive care management or requires flexible funding for short-term need or to prevent out-of-home placement. Learn more about this program by visiting our DDP services page!
The IFFS Program has always been an important part of our Developmental Disabilities Program, and with Heather taking over we are so excited that IFFS will have the oversight it needs to become an even better program!
Another piece of Heather’s promotion will be facilitating the Family Support Center Advisory Council. The Council will be a diverse group of staff, clients, fellow providers, CFCS Board members and members of our local community that will meet regularly to discuss the Family Support Center and make recommendations for improvement.
At CFCS, we have always learned much from the families we work with. We are eager to continue to learn from DDP families through this Advisory Council, which will center the voices of family members and individuals with disabilities. They will guide us in what’s working at the Family Support Center and what isn’t, and can make recommendations to help improve the services and activities we provide.
The Family Support Center offers many different services to support families caring for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Our center hosts social events for our Adult and Child Social Groups, including group bingo, painting and an annual dance party! We also offer local resource trainings on topics ranging from financial literacy to police safety.
We are thrilled that Heather will be facilitating the Advisory Council. Her experience working with community groups and her effective approach to centering clients in her practice will be invaluable!
