Garaudie Lenescat Promoted to Teens Learning Choices House Manager
We’re pleased to announce that Garaudie Lenescat has been promoted to Teens Learning Choices House Manager! Garaudie began as a Milieu Counselor in 2018, and since 2019 has been a Lead Milieu Counselor at Teens Learning Choices, our group home for young women ages 16 to 21. Garaudie graduated from Quincy College with an Associate’s Degree and is attending Lesley University to study social work. Garaudie plans to graduate with her Bachelor’s of Social Work this fall.
We recently asked Garaudie to reflect on her new role and her work at CFCS.
What’s a fun fact about you?
A fun fact about me is that I wanted to be on Broadway and still hope to be in a play someday!
What does your new job entail?
My new job includes helping Lead Milieu Counselors and Milieu Counselors with questions and concerns about residents, program policies and protocols to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. I’m also responsible for providing direction and feedback to Milieu Counselors, including supporting their growth and helping them improve their job performance.
What’s your favorite thing to do at your job?
I enjoy interacting with residents and counselors because I get to learn about their interests and hobbies, which teaches me how to better support them in my day-to-day work.
Do you have a philosophy/motto with which you approach your work?
Yes! My motto with which I approach work is to do it with excellence and always be open to learning. Big or small, I want to learn something from whatever job I’m in.
Do you have a goal you want to achieve at CFCS
I would like to further my leadership skills and professionally advance in this field.
