CFCS Featured on AdoptED Podcast

Today, CFCS is featured in the latest episode of the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange’s (MARE) podcast, AdoptED! Our Director of Family Services Sarah Medrano-Palmer joins Lindsey Bryjolfsson and Joe Sandogato of MARE to talk about Weekend Family Connections, our new innovative program that aims to find nurturing adoptive homes for youth in foster care ages ten and older who are living in residential settings.

Research shows that youth ages ten and older who live in a residential setting are most likely to be adopted by someone who has already had the opportunity to get to know them as an individual. But what if a youth doesn’t have access to a network or community of individuals that can support them? Weekend Family Connections seeks to bridge that gap, and connect these youth to welcoming networks of supportive individuals and prospective adoptive homes.
