A Season of Fun with Our Developmental Disabilities Program

Our Developmental Disabilities Program has been very busy this year, ensuring that youth and adults with developmental disabilities and their families have access to the resources they need. They’ve also made sure that the folks we support have been having plenty of fun!

We partnered with The Escape Game to design and host an accessible virtual escape room experience. Our case managers met with Caroline, an Escape Game event coordinator, to demo the game beforehand to make sure it would work for our clients. We requested some adjustments, including that our game have no flashing lights or loud noises and that extra clues and support would be provided. Caroline did a wonderful job accommodating these needs, and even gave us a trial run of the adjusted game before our event. In the end, everyone had a great time playing an immersive experience with

In early June, we partnered with Team Building Unlimited to host a virtual game show for our families! Team Building Unlimited’s Founder and CEO Mary Ann Romero emceed our event while two teams battled it out. Mary Ann’s company primarily offers team building services for corporate events, but she has worked with our Developmental Disabilities Program for several years now. We love working with her, and she loves working with us and the adults and youth we serve!

Our group has also enjoyed virtual visits to the zoo and Fenway Park!

And last but not least, we entered summer in style with an ice cream sandwich party courtesy of Cookie Monstah! We hosted our families at our office in Cambridge for a sunny afternoon of fun. Thank you to Cookie Monstah for helping us throw a fantastic summer party for our families!
