Our Developmental Disabilities Program Adult Clients Give Back to the Community

Earlier in December, we were excited to host our annual Giving Back event for the adult clients in our Developmental Disabilities Program. Each year, our Adult Social Group goes shopping for gifts for the clients in our other CFCS programs. Then, they have a big party to wrap them all up!

This year, the Adult Social Group bought gifts for children and families served by our Family Support & Stabilization and Intensive Foster Care programs, as well as for the residents at Teens Learning Choices and Putnam Place.

It was a particularly special event this year, as not only did our Executive Director Bob Gittens attend and help wrap presents, but so did two of our Board Members, Sally Martin and Debjani Banerji! They got to know some of our clients better, and they were wonderful volunteers.

Not only do our families look forward to these special gifts from our DDP clients, but our DDP clients love this fun and charitable activity each year. This is one of our favorite traditions! We feel very lucky to be an organization that come together and support each other’s programs, not just in the holiday season but all year round.
