In 2011, Lajiah joined the Microsoft Store team in Bellevue, WA. While still in foster care, she was excited to learn about Microsoft’s initiatives to support underprivileged communities by volunteering, donating and offering relevant staff trainings, among other efforts.
This launched a career with Microsoft that has spanned across California, New York and now Boston. Today, Lajiah is Microsoft’s Hub Manager for the city of Boston.
Lajiah brought her passion for people to her work at Microsoft by leading conversations around Diversity and Inclusion across the organization. She is currently the Vice Chair for the employee resource group BAM (Blacks At Microsoft), where she helps lead projects and events that help lift Black voices in Microsoft and create more opportunities for the Black community.
Lajiah believes that authenticity exists in common lived experiences. She plans to leverage her life’s journey to connect with, empower and enlighten people in her community and beyond.
