DDP’s Annual Fall Open House a Success
This September, our Developmental Disabilities Program and the Family Support Center opened our doors to the individuals and families we serve in DDP with the annual DDP Fall Open House! The individuals and families we work with in DDP gathered at CFCS’s office to play bingo, enjoy music and lunch, get their faces painted and do some crafting, especially pumpkin and cookie decorating. We were also happy to host the friends and extended family members of our clients at the Open House. With so many activities to do, there was something for everyone!
It was a beautiful Saturday outside, and at the Open House everyone enjoyed taking a moment to chat, eat, make something and play a game or two. For an event with so much going on, everyone felt relaxed and refreshed by the end.
Special thanks to Jean Clements for DJ’ing, and to all our DDP staff for setting up the rooms and food, running the activity stations and cleaning up after. We look forward to the Fall Open House each year, and each year it gets a little better. We feel very lucky that we get to connect with our community and the people we serve in so many different ways, including this one!
