CFCS Celebrates MAPP Class Graduation Over Zoom
Many things have been put on hold due to COVID-19. In the world of child welfare, agencies and families alike were especially disappointed about the suspension and cancellation of MAPP trainings for prospective foster and adoptive parents – until now. We are very pleased to announce that last weekend over Zoom, we successfully graduated our winter MAPP training class of 19 adoptive and foster parents!
MAPP graduation ceremonies usually involve a panel discussion for the graduated of seasoned foster and adoptive parents talking about their experiences and giving advice about the process. We were very lucky to still be able to hold our panel, featuring three families discussing their experiences, including Monica and Lispeth Tibbits-Nutt and Kerry-Ann Ellington-Robinson. Thank you to all our panelists for sharing your stories and wisdom!
We were so glad the virus didn’t get in the way of all these amazing future adoptive and foster parents completing their MAPP training. Congratulations to all the graduates!
