Bridges Homeward Partners with New England Patriots Foundation to Fight Foster Care Crisis

We are excited to share one of our most exciting developments of 2023: the New England Patriots Foundation has pledged $150,000 to Bridges Homeward as part of their Foster Care Initiative! Bridges Homeward is one of six foster care agencies the Kraft Foundation has partnered with to improve foster care in Massachusetts by fighting the devastating shortage of foster homes. Today we are excited to share some of the great things that are happening thanks to this partnership! 

Thanks to this generous donation from the Patriots Foundation, we are able to maintain a staff position entirely dedicated to recruiting foster families for our youth! At Bridges Homeward, we pride ourselves on the tailored, one-on-one support we provide to the foster families we work with, to ensure that the youth they care for are nurtured, supported, and loved. We are always looking for more foster homes so we can support even more children in the foster care system. Now, thanks to this grant, we can pour more resources into recruiting and supporting more wonderful foster families. 

This partnership also has provided opportunities for our foster parents to attend Kraft-sponsored events! Our families have recently enjoyed events including an Ed Sheeran concert and bowling with Patriots players. Our parents and youth were so excited to get to meet the players and spend some time with them! 

Our foster parents and youth had so much fun meeting Patriots players and even giving them a run for their money in bowling!
