Adopt or Foster with Bridges Homeward This Fall!

Are you ready to offer a safe, nurturing, loving home to a youth in foster care? Then you should join our free and accessible Massachusetts Approach to Partnerships in Parenting (MAPP) training series starting September 2024!    

MAPP Training is a required 30-hour course for anyone in Massachusetts who is interested in adopting or fostering youth in foster care.  If you would like to enroll, get in touch with us today!  Contact us at familyservices@bridgeshomeward.org. Or, call our office at 617-876-4210 and ask to speak with a member of the Family Services team.  We will guide you through the process step by step.   

Space is limited, and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Training Schedule

All sessions are held virtually in the evening from 6 to 9 PM. Participants are required to attend 9 of 10 sessions to complete training.  Both members of a couple must attend training together.     

Session 1: Wednesday, September 25

Session 2: Wednesday, October 2

Session 3: Monday, October 7

Session 4: Wednesday, October 9

Session 5: Wednesday, October 16

Session 6: Monday, October 21

**no class on October 23rd** 

Session 7: Monday, October 28

Session 8: Wednesday, October 30

Session 9: Wednesday, November 6

Session 10: Wednesday, November 13

You will be enrolled in our MAPP Training after you have completed an application and the pre-screening process, which includes background record checks and a physical standards/safety check of the home.
