One Volunteer Team Makes a Difference with 28 Sweet Cases from Together We Rise

Family Support & Stabilization Coordinator Andrea Ruiz, picking up Sweet Cases for families

Today, we are humbled and grateful for the effort our donors put into supporting our programs and the families we serve. Recently, a local teacher named María Koehler donated 28 whole Sweet Cases from Together We Rise to CFCS! María organized with a few friends and colleagues to set up the Sweet Cases with their customary teddy bears, coloring books, crayons and blankets. But María’s team also took the time to personalize every Sweet Case: each duffel bag contains a letter from the person who put it together to the child who will receive it.

Our programs were happy to receive the duffel bags. Some will go to children of the families we work with in our Family Support & Stabilization Program, and some to children of families we work with in our Developmental Disabilities Program. These children will love the activity books and teddy bears, and their parents will appreciate that they have another piece of luggage to use.

Thank you very much to María and her kind friends! We are inspired by your hard work and kindness.
