An Update on Fred at the Patriots Game

Last year we thanked One Simple Wish for granting the wish of Fred, a 12-year-old boy in foster care who wanted nothing more than to see the Patriots play a football game. We are happy to report that Fred went to his football game during Christmas break and had a great time!

We are very grateful to the gift we received through One Simple Wish for Fred’s Patriots tickets, but we did need a little help to cover the full cost, as Patriots tickets are highly coveted in Boston! So Fred’s social worker Brittany Edwards reached out to the Rise Above Foundation and asked them to help cover the cost for Fred and his foster parent to attend the game. Thank you to Brittany for working so hard for Fred, and to Rise Above for helping out! It was great to see our community come together to support Fred’s dream.

Fred also wanted to thank everyone who helped him see the game, so he wrote this thank-you note that we wanted to share.

If you’d like to support children in foster care, we encourage you to donate today. Your gifts directly fund opportunities of all kinds for kids just like Fred.
